Slim Riahi, a wealthy businessman, has emerged as a surprise contender in the race for Tunisia’s presidency.

The 36-year-old media tycoon, who has been compared with Silvio Berlusconi, the former Italian prime minister, has seen his support grow with students and the unemployed backing his bid.
