Hong Kong marks ‘Umbrella Protest’ milestone

After a month on the streets, activists demanding free elections are under pressure to shift tactics.

Protesters in Hong Kong have been marking the birth of what is being called the “Umbrella Revolution”, after protesters used umbrellas to protect themselves when police tried to disperse them using pepper spray and tear gas.

After all that time on the streets, the protesters are under pressure to shift tactics, with a growing number of people demanding an end to the protest.
