Ukraine fails to win over Slovyansk residents
People in separatist stronghold captured by government forces in July refuse to take part in parliamentary elections.

The eastern Ukrainian town of Slovyansk was once a separatist stronghold, until it fell to government forces in July.
Despite the army routing the separatists, the government in Kiev has failed to win hearts and minds, with residents pledging to abstain from voting in the country’s parliamentary elections.
