Ukraine fails to win over Slovyansk residents

People in separatist stronghold captured by government forces in July refuse to take part in parliamentary elections.

Despite the army routing the separatists, the government in Kiev has failed to win hearts and minds, with residents pledging to abstain from voting in the country’s parliamentary elections.
