Treaty with Israel yet to impress Jordanians

Governments aim to protect strategic partnership despite unpopular Israeli occupation of Palestinian territory.

Two decades have passed since Jordan signed a peace treaty with Israel. The pact is still unpopular among many in Jordan who oppose Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory. However, the Israeli and Jordanian governments seem determined to protect their strategic partnership.
