Fear grips Nigeria over Boko Haram threat

Many sceptical about government’s truce claims as attacks, abductions and vigilante justice continue to plague country.

Tensions remain high in Nigeria despite the government insisting that a ceasefire with the armed group Boko Haram is still in effect.

Many are sceptical about the agreement, with regular attacks and abductions in the east of the country prompting communites elsewhere to against take matters in to their own hands.

In some communities vigilantes have began targeting suspected Boko Haram members, stoking fears and tensions among different communities.
