An Atlantic depression, containing the remnants of Hurricane Gonzalo, has caused disruption across the UK.

October often sees the first, as well as some of the strongest, storms of the autumn and winter across the UK. The storm which hit the country on Monday night and Tuesday, was given added interest by its incorporation of former hurricane, Gonzalo.
