The Greek government of Antonis Samaras has survived a confidence vote in parliament. The development puts an end to speculation that snap elections would be held imminently.
The prime minister insists the government is stable and will push ahead with economic reforms. His government has tabled a bill to reduce state funding of political parties. However, critics say the law may cause more problems.
