Bangladeshi tourism hit by months of unrest
Tourism employees in the country’s Cox’ Bazaar resort have been massively affected as tourists kept away from unrest.

Tourism in Bangladesh’s Cox’s Bazaar had been booming – hi-rise hotels had been springing up across town, tempted by the country’s potential.
But political unrest and street violence in has hit the tourism industry, just like many other economy sectors. Tourists have avoided hotels at the world’s longest beach, leaving them notably vacant, even during the peak season.
