Police are promoting graffiti in Mexico City
Graffiti artists paint works that comment on current issues in the country, like drug violence and social problems.

Police are searching for some of Mexico’s most prominent graffiti artists, but their goal is not to stop them.
Instead, the government wants their help to brighten up the capital’s public spaces and a local police unit is finding free spaces for ‘grafitteros’ to create their art.
But not all of Mexico’s graffiti artists are government-backed.
Al Jazeera’s Rachel Levin reports from Mexico City.
