Twitter’s Vine marks first birthday
More than 40 million people use the video service compared to competitor Instagram, which has 150 million users.

One year ago today, micro-blogging and messaging site Twitter launched Vine, its video service.
It lets people with a mobile phone capture and share six-second looping videos and has attracted more than 40 million users.
Vine’s major competitor is the Facebook-owned Instagram, which has 150 million users.
