Abuse uncovered at Romania’s disabled centres
Disturbing evidence of abuse uncovered at state institutions for the disabled, many of whom have experienced abuse.

Al Jazeera has uncovered disturbing evidence of abuse of the disabled in Romania. Figures suggest over 16,000 people currently live in state institutions for the disabled. And many of them have experienced physical, emotional and even chemical abuse.
