China and EU leaders focus on trade ties

Trade with the EU is worth almost $1.5bn a day and is China’s main trading partner.

Chinese and European leaders have been meeting in Brussels to discuss trade relationships.

Trade with the EU is worth almost $1.5bn per day and the union is China’s primary trading partner.

The meeting is the first of its kind since China and the EU established ties four decades ago.
