Starving Syrian refugees get food aid

Residents of Yarmouk refugee camp in the Syrian capital Damascus forced to eat grass to ward off hunger.

Residents of the Yarmouk refugee camp in the Syrian capital Damascus have started receiving food aid for the first time in months.

The suffering in the camp has taken many forms – but perhaps the worst effect has been on the youngest.

It has been reported at least 40 people have died from hunger or lack of medical care.

Al Jazeera’s Dominic Kane reports.
