Violence intensifies in Pakistan’s northwest

As government says ready to enter dialogue with Pakistani Taliban, Peshawar recovers from third deadly blast in a week.

The death toll from Sunday’s bomb blast that ripped through a historic market in the Pakistani city of Peshawar has risen to 41.

Dozens were also wounded when a bomb exploded in the Qissa Khwani, or “Story Tellers'”, bazaar.

It was the third deadly blast to hit the city in a week.
