Overwhelming demand for Mumbai’s hospital services and high property prices mean some families have to go homeless.

Every year tens of thousands of India’s poorest cancer patients make their way to Mumbai for treatment. They pay very little at one of the most specialised hospitals in the country.
However, overwhelming demand for services and steep property prices mean some have little choice but to call the streets around the hospital home.
Al Jazeera’s Nidhi Dutt reports from Mumbai.
