Concerns grow over Syria’s foreign fighters

Analysts say al-Qaeda-linked groups are jeopardising the country’s internal security.

Concern is growing in Syria over the impact that foreign fighters and groups affiliated to al-Qaeda are having on the conflict.

Many are coming into the country from neighbouring Turkey and analysts are warning that it is jeopardising security in Syria.
