Lebanon’s Hezbollah under pressure at home
Shia group pays heavy price for its involvement in Syria where it is fighting alongside Assad’s forces.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s Lebanese ally, Hezbollah, has been fighting alongside Syrian forces.
The Shia Muslim group’s stated policy is to prevent al-Assad’s regime from collapsing. But it has paid a heavy political price for its involvement in the neighbour’s conflict and is under increasing pressure at home.
