Myanmar’s rebels recount tales of horror

Members of the ethnic Karen community have been fighting for greater autonomy for 40 years.

Myanmar’s government has been pursuing peace with ethnic minorities in its border areas.

Some of these ethnic minorities, such as the Karen people, have been involved in an armed struggle for almost 40 years.

While things have changed, there are those who were separated from their families and are now recounting the horrors of conflict.

Al Jazeera’s Veronica Pedrosa reports from northern Thailand.
