Immigrant aims to be Germany’s first black MP
Karamba Diaby, a politician of Senegalese origin, launches campaign for seat in upcoming election.

Germany’s general election on September 22 could put the country’s first-ever black member of parliament into office.
Dr Karamba Diaby, a member of the Social Democratic Party, was born in Senegal and orphaned when he was seven.
For 12 years he has been a German citizen and is now running for office.
Al Jazeera’s Nick Spicer reports from Berlin.
