Kenyan prisoners get legal training

Programme provides prisoners with basic legal skills and court knowledge so that they can defend themselves.

Most prisoners in Kenya face the courts without legal representation of any kind, because they can not afford a lawyer.

A new initiative is now trying to change that.

The programme aims to provide inmates with basic legal knowledge so that they can represent themselves in front of a judge.
