Strikes on Syria feared to destabilise region
Western strikes against Syrian regime feared to escalate war far beyond country’s borders.

The Syria conflict has already destabilised neighbouring countries and there is a genuine fear that Western strikes against the regime could engulf the region in even more violence.
The Syrian government has vowed to defend itself and it still has powerful allies.
