Qatar-India satellite launched successfully

India and Qatar have sent satellites into orbit from a launch pad in south America.

While it was business as usual for India, for Qatar it was a first.

It also indicates a new reach into space for the Gulf country that has been expanding its global reach in recent years.

Al Jazeera’s Gabriel Elizondo reports from French Guiana where the satellites blasted off.
