Jordanians boycott local elections

Some people refuse to vote in local polls because they doubt it will bring real change.

Polls have just opened in local elections across Jordan and people are voting for those who will be responsible for developing some of Jordan’s poorest towns and cities.

But some people are boycotting the vote because they believe it will not lead to any significant changes.

Al Jazeera’s Nisreen El Shamayleh reports from a village in Fannoush, Jordan.
