Women activists in India say new laws are not enough to deter rapists. They say deep cultural problems often prevent action against sexual violence. The latest attack was on a photojournalist in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, in New Delhi a group of women has been taking their safety into their own hands. Al Jazeera’s Karishma Vyas reports from the Indian capital.
