Sentence hearing begins in Afghan killings
US soldier Robert Bales, who has admitted to killing 16 civilian, comes face to face with victims’ relatives.

The sentence hearing has begun for the US soldier, accused of killing 16 civilians during an attack on two Afghan villages.
Sargent Robert Bales admitted to the March 2012 massacre as part of an agreement to avoid execution.
In court, he came face to face with several relatives of the victims.
Al Jazeera’s Rob Reynolds reports from outside the court in Tacoma.
