Trial of disgraced China party chief to begin

Bo Xilai fell from grace after his wife was jailed for murder, and now he faces court himself on corruption charges.

A disgraced senior member of China’s communist party elite goes on trial on Thursday in the eastern city of Jinan.

Bo Xilai is accused of corruption, bribery and abuse of power. He was dismissed last year in a scandal that saw his wife jailed for murder.
