Thai rebels demand freedom before dialogue

Al Jazeera gains exclusive access to prison where separatists are being held as government seeks talks with rebels.

Thailand government is now attempting to negotiate with the separatist rebels in the country’s south, but rebels are unwilling to come to negotiating table.

They are demanding the release of their fighters from prison, dubbed Thailand’s version of Guantanamo as a condition for dialogue.

Al Jazeera has been given exclusive access to a prison in Thailand where hundreds of separatists are being held.
