Sumo gives Mongolian wrestling a boost
Japanese sport reinvigorates tradition in a country where it used to be a way to prove one’s masculinity.

Mongolia has a long tradition of wrestling but in the last 20 years, competitors have used their fighting spirit to conquer sumo wrestling in Japan.
The Central Asian country has produced three grand champions and countless top-tier fighters. And that has helped reinvigorate wrestling – a sport that was fading in popularity.
