German Chancellor Angela Merkel has gone back to school to be a teacher for a day to mark the anniversary of the Berlin Wall being built.
Merkel was invited to teach a 45-minute lesson to twelfth-graders in Berlin and took the opportunity to relate her own experience of the city’s Cold War division.
The stint as substitute teacher comes just a day before her election campaign officially kicks off ahead of a September vote.
