Art theft trial adjourned in Romania

Six people are suspected of stealing paintings including works by Gauguin, Picasso and Matisse from a Dutch museum.

The trial of six Romanians suspected of a brazen art theft last October has been adjourned for one month, to allow time for more issues to be examined, including calls for some suspects to be released on bail.

The six are suspected of stealing paintings worth $24m from a Dutch museum and then destroying the evidence.

Al Jazeera’s Gerald Tan reports.
