At least 22 people were killed when flash floods hit a plain in Afghanistan’s Kabul province, a disaster management official said.
Twenty people including five children were killed in Chakardara district north of the capital, Mohammad Daim Kakar said on Sunday.

Two other children died in a flood in the Paghman district west of the capital, Kakar told the Associated Press.
Most of the victims were in cars that were swept away and submerged by the flooding, he said.
Several people were injured and about a dozen homes were washed away, according to police sources.
Many irrigation canals, wells, orchards and fields were damaged, Kabul police officer Sayed Ekramuddin Jalal told Reuters news agency.
Last week, flooding in six eastern and southeastern provinces and some areas around the capital killed dozens of people and destroyed hundreds of hectares of farmland.
