US legislators push for national park on moon

Congresswomen propose law to protect sites of 1969 Apollo lunar landings.

The US government designates areas across the country as national parks to help conserve the natural beauty of the land.

But a new bill in Congress hopes to expand that portfolio far beyond American shores to a few locations in space.

Two congresswomen are proposing a law that would establish a Historical Park at the sites of the Apollo lunar landings.
