Missing people numbers soar in Mexico

Amnesty International has released a report documenting over 150 cases of people who have disappeared in Mexico in the last six years.

About 26,000 have gone missing during that time according to the government. The latest to disappear were eleven young people last week.

Authorities point the finger at criminal organisations, especially in states consumed by drug violence.

But investigations by human rights groups show that in many cases the people and military are the ones responsible for making people disappear.
