UN sanctions hurt China-N Korea ties

The relationship between China and North Korea was once described as an alliance forged in blood. However, there have been leadership changes in both countries and that alliance no longer looks as strong.
A significant cause for the worsened ties was China’s support for UN sanctions against North Korea over its nuclear programme.
