Ballet brings hope to the Philippines
Initiative tries to make ballet more accessible by sponsoring and training children from poor areas.

Ballet has long been considered an elitist art, especially in a country like the Philippines where a lot of people live in poverty.
But a group in the capital Manila are now promoting the art by giving children from disadvantaged backgrounds, a chance to become professional ballet dancers.
