Irony taints Ecuador’s free speech image
As whisteblowers look up to Quito for protection, journalists there say media has few freedoms.

Many expect US whistleblower Edward Snowden’s next destination to be Ecuador where he has already applied for asylum.
The government there in Quito is expected to grant him his wish.
But some people believe it is ironic that a country with little press freedom is willing to protect him.
