New satellites could transform internet

Network will offer high-speed internet access to developing countries left out of fiber-optic network.

The reach of high-speed internet is about to spread to millions of people around the world who have been largely missing out.

That’s according to the developers of a new network of satellites, which is due to begin launching from South America within hours.
