Dutch convictions over linesman’s death
Convictions come six months after football linesman died after being knocked down and beaten during a game.

Six months ago the Netherlands was shocked over the killing of a volunteer football linesman who died after he was knocked to the ground and repeatedly beaten during a game.
Seven youths and one of the parents have been convicted for their part in the violence, but the soul-searching in the Netherlands is likely to go on far beyond the end of the court case.
