UN sends troops to DRC to fight armed groups
UN’s 3,000-strong African force will take on fighters, including M23 rebels, battling DRC government.

The UN is sending a 3,000-strong African force to the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The troops have a mandate to neutralise armed groups in the area, particularly the M23 rebels, who are fighting the DRC government.
