Refugees protest against German restrictions

Asylum seekers and refugees protest in capital Berlin against policy that restricts their movement.

Germany’s policy of restricting the movement of asylum seekers has been challenged by a group of refugees.

Refugees and asylum seekers are not allowed to leave the area where they apply to stay in Germany but a group has left their cities and set up camps in the capital Berlin in protest over the restrictions.

The city’s mayor has criticised the fact that asylum seekers are treated as “second class human beings”.

Al Jazeera’s Nick Spicer reports from Berlin.
