Americans flee their homes as firefighters battle blazes in southern California.

More than 900 firefighters are battling wildfires in southern California.
A university and 2,000 homes have been evacuated.
The biggest blaze started early on Thursday morning just outside Los Angeles – fuelled by strong Santa Anna winds.
