Malaysia politicians fight over youth vote

Rival campaigns use social media to reach young voters who make up almost half of electorate.

Malaysia goes to the polls on Sunday, with one category of voters likely to play kingmakers in the outcome.

Youth under 40 make up 42 percent of the electorate, so it is no surprise the ruling and opposition parties are trying their best to win them over. And because social media is such a popular form of communication among the young, the campaign is also being fought on the internet.
