The Philippines has one of the fastest-growing populations in Asia. But according to a recent report by Save the Children, it is also one of the worst places to be a mother.
For every 100,000 live births, more than 200 mothers die from preventable and curable complications during childbirth.
A new law permitting contraception could reduce the number of births if it survives a court challenge and is implemented.
