Both sides in Syria use low-tech trackers
Syria’s army and opposition forces use affordable surveillance tools to track each other in country’s civil war.

In Aleppo, the Syrian army and opposition fighters are employing a simple device to help track each other’s movements.
While installing the cameras, which cost around $50 each, is risky work, the benefits of having a tool that does the surveillance work of several soldiers make that a risk worth taking.
