Nearly 50 years since it was built, the Tehran Research Reactor is still running, and officials say it is still going strong.
The reactor has lurched from crisis to crisis since its fuel began running out. Last year, as supplies dwindled, Iran began using its first homemade nuclear fuel rods.
Now Al Jazeera has gained exclusive access to a research reactor not listed on the sites of concern by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
