Dengue epidemic rages on in Paraguay

With country’s annual pesticide supply already running out, at least 45 people have died from the disease.

Paraguay has called on the public to help fight an outbreak of dengue fever.

The disease has killed at least 45 people so far this year, and the country’s yearly supply of pesticide has already run out.

Since no effective vaccine for dengue fever is available, the only method of preventing infections is to combat the vector mosquitoes.
