Afghan officials take control of aid spending
Tens of millions of dollars being handed to local government as NATO troops withdraw.

As NATO troops prepare to pull out of Afghanistan by next year, tens of millions of dollars in aid money is being handed to the local government. The money is meant for development and infrastructure projects.
And as Al Jazeera’s Jennifer Glasse reports from the Darunta Dam in eastern Afghanistan, the people in charge are hoping to make the money go further.
