Syria refugees struggle outside Jordan camps

Thousands of Syrians who fled homeland live in abandoned buildings and struggle for humanitarian aid.

An estimated two-thirds of the 477,000 Syrian refugees who have fled their homeland live outside of the camps set up for them in Jordan.

Many are forced to crowd together in abandoned buildings.

Refugees who live outside of the camps face another challenge because less humanitarian aid is allocated to assist them.

Al Jazeera’s Nisreen El-Shamayleh reports from Ramtha, near the Syria-Jordan border.
