Greek journalist receives free speech award
Editor vows to continue highlighting Greece’s problems after being honoured for publishing ‘Lagarde List’.

The Greek journalist who blew the whistle on “endemic” tax evasion in his country has told Al Jazeera he would be happy going to jail to expose Greece’s problems with freedom of speech.
Kostas Vaxehvanis, editor of the Greek magazine Hot Doc, was arrested last October for publishing the so-called Lagarde list, a compendium of 2,000 billionares who had offshore bank accounts to avoid paying taxes.
He is being honoured with an award in London for his work against state censorship.
