Brazil doctor nailed in fake-finger scam

Silicone-sculpted fingers with fake fingerprints used to deceive hospital bosses about overtime shifts.

A Brazilian doctor has told police she used silicone-sculpted fingers with the fingerprints of her colleagues to make it look like other staff had begun their shifts.

She said this was part of a scam to fool hospital bosses into thinking her colleagues had worked more overnight shifts than they actually had.

Al Jazeera’s Dominic Kane reports.
